| The Pazo Quinteiro da Cruz is situated in Lois Ribadumia
(Pontevedra) and was built in 1790. The garden, of french style, and designed
in the beginning of the 20th century by the french arquitect Dorgambide, has a
wide variety of tree species of botanic interest and ormentals (some are
centenary and others were recently planted, since we are still introducing
tropical exotic plants and laurisylves), and also romantic structures,
fountains made of stone, a gazing room, gardens, statues, sun clocks… Two
stone crosses (one is magnificient and dates back to the 18th century and other
smaller built in the 19th century and situated on the pond), a chapel dating
from the 16th century, a pigeon house with merlons, and a stone washing place
with columns are also part of the Pazo. But the most important elements of the
garden are the camellias, with more than 1000 specimens comprising several
varieties and numerous species blooming in Quinteiro da Cruz. The garden is
surrounded by a forest and 'Alvarinho' vines (wine is produced in the winery
that has the name of the Pazo). |

Lois_Ribadumia (Pontevedra) y fué construido en 1790. En su
jardín, de influencia gala, y diseñado a principios del siglo XX
por el paisajista francés Dorgambide, se encuentra una gran variedad de
especies arbóreas de interés botánico y ornamental(algunas
centenarias y otras mas recientes, pues se siguen introduciendo plantas
exóticas tropicales y diferentes laurifolios), y no faltan elementos
románticos, fuentes de piedra, cenadores,jardines,estatuas,relojes de
sol.. Posee dos cruceros (uno magnífico del siglo XVIII) dos
hórreos (uno grande de piedra del siglo XVIII y uno mas pequeño
del XIX sobre estanque-lavadero), posee capilla del siglo XVI, palomar almenado
y lavadero( de piedra y columnas). Pero las verdaderas protagonistas del
jardín son las camelias que en más de 1000 ejemplares de
diferentes especies y variedades, florecen en Quinteiro da Cruz. El
jardín está rodeado de bosque y viñedo de Albariño
( que se elabora en la bodega de la Casa con el nombre de la finca )
