| The first
building dates back to the 14th century and the current building, that had its
heyday during the Independence War, belongs to the 17th century. Its situation
in front of Portugal, near the river Miño, and on the slope of the
forrest make it an estrategic and defensive enclave. The garden has tall box
hedges and an area with old cultivars of C. japonica, among them a specimen of
'Magnoliflora rubra'. At present, the building was reconstructed and has a
rural tourism building, where you can sleep and have a meal. |

| La primera
edificación se remonta al siglo XIV y la actual, que tuvo su
época más gloriosa durante la Guerra de la Independencia,
pertenece al siglo XVII. Su situación frente a Portugal, muy cerca del
río Miño, y sobre la ladera de un monte lo convierten en un
enclave estratégico y defensivo. El jardín posee altos setos de
boj y una zona de ejemplares antiguos de C. japonica, entre ellos una
'Magnoliflora rubra'. Actualmente ha sido reconstruida y como casa de turismo
rural constituye un magnífico lugar para comer y pernoctar.
